Aumann, Mable (16 May 1913 – 24 August 1978)

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Walter (Mable) Aumann, 64, on Saturday, August 26, from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville.

Mrs. Aumann, 204 W. Fifteenth St., Neillsville, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital, August 24. She had several years of failing health.

She was born May 16, 1913, in Humbird to George and Nina (Hall) Squires. After attending grade school in Humbird, she then attended Neillsville High School, graduating in 1931. She also took teachers’ training in Neillsville and did substitute teaching for a number of years. She was married to Walter Aumann on October 24, 1934, in Neillsville. After her marriage, she worked as a housewife for the rest of her life. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the P.C.C.W.

Listed as immediate survivors are her husband; two sons, Walter, Jr. of Hales Corners and Charles of Spencer; one daughter, Mrs. Antone (Mary) Langreck, Neillsville; three sisters, Mrs. Evans (Alice) Walters of Dellwood, Mrs. George (Margaret) Luepke of St. Francis and Mrs. Edward (Nina) Johnson of Marshfield; one brother, Raymond Squires, Jackson; thirteen grandchildren, and one great- grandchild. Preceding her in death was a brother, George; and two sisters, Nellie and Evelyn.

The Rev. Joseph Henseler officiated at the 9:30 a.m. funeral mass with burial in the parish cemetery.

Aumann, Mable (16 May 1913 – 24 August 1978)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery was the chosen burial site for Mrs. Walter (Mable) Aumann, 65, who passed away August 24, in Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., August 26, from St. Mary’s with the Rev. Joseph Henseler officiating.

Offering music for the mass was the church choir, accompanied by Mrs. Glenn Short. Pallbearers were Martin Feuerstein, Claire Smale, Francis Urlaub, Herbert Schiltz, Al VandeBerg and Ted Dux.

Attending the mass and visitation were Mr./Mrs. Marvin Anderegg, Mr./Mrs. Fred Timmler, Mr./Mrs. Henry Aumann, Jr., Mr./Mrs. Danny Bravener, Mr./Mrs. Urban Aumann, Mr./Mrs. Henry Aumann, Sr., M./Mrs. Clarence Aumann and Mrs. Susan Murphy & Joel, all of Loyal; Mr./Mrs. Alvin Luebke, Mr./Mrs. George Luebke, Ray Squire, Mr/Mrs. Ray Rogert, Mr./Mrs. George Flenner, and Mr./Mrs. Walter Aumann, Jr., and family, all of Milwaukee.

And joining them were Mr./Mrs. Bruce Winkler, Mr./Mrs. Fritz Elmhorst and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Langreck, of Granton; Fred Rupnow and Ernest Stevens, of Humbird; Mr. /Mrs. Ed Johnson and Mr./Mrs. Clem Trader, of Marshfield; Mr./Mrs. Charles Aumann & Family, Spencer; Mr./Mrs. Evan Walters, Dellwood; Mr./Mrs. Larry Geiger, Manitowoc; Mrs. Fanny Andraschka, Oshkosh; Mr./Mrs. Allan Schlinsog, Wis. Rapids; Mr./Mrs. Kenneth Martens, Wausau; and Francis Hrach, Madison.
