Lake Arbutus at Hatfield was the setting for the wedding of Claudia Joy Moen and
Steven Charles Koran on September 9. Jackson County Judge Louis I. Drecktrah
performed the 6:30 p.m. double ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Mr. and
Mrs. James Moen of Melrose and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Koran of Hatfield.
For her wedding, the bride appeared in a sleeveless floor-length off-white silk
crepe gown with tiered skirt and a high lace neckline. She carried a colonial
bouquet of rust-colored mums, yellow daisies and baby’s breath.
Maid of honor was Jane Ellen Moen, who appeared in a sleeveless floor length
gown of rust and off-white, she carried a bouquet of rust-colored mums, yellow
daisies and baby’s breath. The groom was attended by Charles Koran, Jr.
Following the lakeside ceremony, a reception was held in “The Mug” at Hatfield.
After a wedding trip to Cable, the couple will reside in Hatfield where the
groom owns and operated the Mug. The bride is the Jackson County Register in
Probate at Black River Falls.
