Stacke, Adolph W. (30 Jan 1906 – 18 Sep 1972)

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran church, Abbotsford, for Adolph W. Stacke, 66, Abbotsford, who died unexpectedly Monday evening at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he had been taken by Stratford ambulance earlier in the day, after collapsing at the Equity Stock Yards in Stratford, where he was employed.

The Rev. Kenneth Loehrke will officiate, with burial in the Abbotsford Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home beginning at 2 p.m. today (Thursday).

Mr. Stacke was born in the town of Pine Valley in Clark County on January 30, 1906. He married Marian Dietrich June 23, 1936 in the Town of Green Grove.

He farmed in the town of Colby and town of Mayville, and in 1960, moved to Abbotsford. He moved back to the town of Mayville, and for the past three years, again resided in Abbotsford.

Survivors, besides his wife, include a son, Robert of Abbotsford and a daughter, Dawn Stegeman of California; his mother, Mrs. Augusta Stacke of Neillsville; 7 grandchildren.

He is also survived by three brothers, Herman of Evanston, Ill; William of Wausau and Walter of Albuquerque, N.M. Six sisters also survive. They include: Mrs. Frank (Lydia) Rezie of Merrill; Mrs. Ted (Emma) Pasquesi, Oregon; Mrs. Charles (Louise) Olson, Evanston, Ill.; Mrs. Robert (Faye) Hanson, Chicago; Mrs. Wilbert (Adeline) Miller, Curtiss, and Mrs. E.H. (Ethel) Hanson, Yakama, Washington.

A daughter and sister preceded him in death.
