Kuenzi, Meta (27 May 1898 – 18 Dec 1972)

Mrs. Meta Kuenzi, 74, Abbotsford, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield early Monday morning following a stroke.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, with the Rev. Kenneth Loehrke officiating. Another service will be held today (Thursday) at 1 p.m. at the Berndt Funeral Home, Juneau, with the Rev. Otto Schreiber, Mayville, officiating. Burial will be in the Lowell Cemetery at Lowell, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Kuenzi, the former Meta Schultz, was born May 27, 1898 in the town of Clyman in Dodge County, Wis. She married Walter Kuenzi on January 7, 1922 at Lebanon, Wis. She received her education in Dodge County schools, and following their marriage they lived at Lebanon, Hustisford, Oak Grove, and Manitowoc, and then moved to Abbotsford in 1930, where they lived the past 42 years.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the aid society.

Survivors, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Gosse, Wausau and Mrs. Ethel Bevins, Lakeland Florida. Four grandchildren also survive.

A son, 6 brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
