Munson, Raymond (? - 27 March 1979)
Fall kills Withee man late Tuesday afternoon when he fell from a tree at his
home. Dead was Raymond Munson, 55, of Rt. 1 Withee, who, according to Clark
County Coroner Robert Lulloff, suffered a broken neck and died instantly. Time
of death was place at 5:30 p.m.
Lulloff reported that Munson was trimming a willow tree with a chain saw when he
fell. Munson’s wife heard a ‘thump’ and found her husband on the ground. The
still operating chainsaw was at his side.
Munson reportedly fell 30 feet and landed on his head.
The body was taken to the Maurina Funeral Home in Owen where arrangements were
pending.
The deceased left his wife as a survivor. He was employed at the Post Plant in
Owen.
