Greenwood High School Class of 1959 (20 Year Reunion – 1979)

The Greenwood High School Class of 1959 held their 20-year reunion at the American Legion Hall in Greenwood with a dinner served by the Legion Auxiliary, June 30, following a social hour.

Harry Johnson served a master of ceremonies and asked the Rev. Donald Riemer to precede the dinner with a prayer. A moment of silence was observed for the two deceased members of the class, Cedric Boe and Kathleen (Ampe) Maki. Thirty-one classmates and their spouses (61) were present.

Roses were awarded to William Gregorich for first reply; John Stout for 20th reply; Sharon Braatz) Reimer and Frances (Artac) Bailen, a tie for “changed the most”; William Herr, youngest child; Joe Tomac, number 20; and Judith (Lamovec) Bauer, last one to arrive for dinner.

Pictures of classmates’ families were displayed. Rita (Syth) Mayenschien, who planned the event read the class history; Joanne (Arch) Wroblewski read the prophecy; Francis Gregorich gave a humorous reading.
