Miller was married twice, the first to Lottie Marx and the second to Josephine Lezotte on November 18, 1920, in Neillsville.

Surviving him is one son, Harley Miller, Neillsville; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Lorraine) Fayan, of Moline, Ill., Mrs. George (Jean) Borden of Davenport, Ia., and Mrs. Orville (Florence) Evanson of Wausau; one sister, Mrs. Henry (Elsie) Zimmerman, Baraboo; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his two wives, one son, Harold, one grandson, Kenneth, and two brothers, Walter and Henry.
