Bauernfeind, Theresa Marie (14 Sep 1889 – 22 Apr 1973)

Theresa Marie Bauernfeind, 83, died Sunday, April 22, 1973 at St. Joseph Nursing Home, Ladysmith, where she had been a patient for the past 6 years. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Medford. Reverend Joseph N. Miller officiated, with interment being made in the Medford Catholic Cemetery.

Theresa Ekbinger was born September 14, 1889 in Germany. She came to this country as a small child, living in the city of Medford. For a period of time they lived in South America, and in 1919 moved to the City of Thorp, which remained her home until she became a patient at the Nursing Home in Ladysmith. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp, and a former member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford.

Surviving are three sons: Alvin of Coeur d-Alene, Idaho, Leon of Rochester, Minnesota, John of Hudson; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Grabon of Thorp, (Erica) Mrs. Thomas Warner of Clarissa, Minnesota, (Clara) Mrs. Harry Carroll of Chicago; 24 grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Eichinger of the state of Washington; three sisters, Sister Mary Hermella and Sis Mary Gisela, both of Durham, South (North?) Carolina, and Mrs. Fern Smith of Bradenton, Florida.
