Granton FFA Raised $500 (Camp - 1979)

FFA members from Granton High School set a new record this year with their annual Camp Wawbeek project as they collected 71 old batteries and 3,000 pounds of oats from area farmers. The oats and batteries are resold with the entire process used to send two handicapped people to the special camp. With a number of cash donations, the FFA collected a total of $516.00.

Selected to attend the campo are Brian Jennings, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jennings, rural Chili, and Jim Perrin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Perrin, Loyal.

Camp Wawbeek is located near Wisconsin Dells and is for physically handicapped children and adults. Skills are taught that encourage normal living.
