Two recipients of the National “W” Club award from Thorp are Tim Ahles, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ahles, and Dan Stroinski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Stroinski.
Ahles participated in basketball and golf for four years. Stroinski took part in
football and basketball for four years. Both have kept up a high scholastic
average. The National “W” Club is an organization of letter winners from the
University of Wisconsin, with a keen interest in high school students of this
area.
