Benzschawel, Mr./Mrs. Robert (40th – Jun 1973)

The children of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Benzschawel were hosts to their parents’ 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 17, 1973.

At 11:30 a.m. Mass was held at St. Bernard’s Church, with Father Brockman as celebrant. A 1 o’clock reception was held at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Arnoldine and Bob Gulcynski, which 100 relatives attended.

Five of their six children and nineteen grandchildren were present.

Present were: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gulcynski and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Benzschawel and family of Stevens Point, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Benzschawel and family of Monona, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Benzschawel and family of Stevens Point, Mr. and Mrs. Gary David and family of Arlington, Virginia.

Unable to attend were Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Benzschawel and family of Imperial Beach, California. A phone call was received from them extending congratulations to their parents.

Out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Peter Benzschawel of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schoenberger, Luella Schoenberger, Mr. and Mrs. Lewie Manier, Mr. and Mrs. Steve McGroaty and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lewie Schumacher and family, all of St. Paul; Joe Micke and Christine of Greenwood; Mrs. Celia Velcheck of Stevens Point; Mrs. Maran Culbert of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Culbert of Lexington, North Carolina, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Giving and family of New Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Velcheck and family of Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Raycher of Wilson.
