Who’s Who in Foreign Languages (Schools - 1979)
Students from Neillsville and Greenwood High Schools were among state secondary
students who received an award for excellence in language study and are listed
in the UW-Whitewater “Who’s Who in Foreign languages in Wisconsin High Schools.
To be eligible for the award, students must be juniors or seniors in the third
or fourth year of foreign language study and must also be outstanding in
leadership, scholarship and citizenship.
Award winners included Neillsville Spanish students Laura Backaus and Betty
Scheel, seniors; and Scott Wegner and Gary Genteman, juniors. Greenwood Spanish
students are Pat Skora and Russ Denk.
