Zupanc, Victor (12 August 1912 – 6 September 1979)

Victor Zupanc, 67, Babcock, formerly of Willard, died Thursday, September 6, in Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids. He lived in Babcock the past several years.

Zupanc was born August 12, 1912, in Willard to Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Mary Horvat) Zupanc. He received his education in Willard Schools. He farmed in the area with his parents until 1942, then he entered the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran.

Surviving him are brothers and sisters, Tony, Joseph, and Mrs. Casper (Caroline) Shober, all of Loyal, Frank, Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Mayme Gregorich, Preston, Ia., and Mrs. Phil (Ann) Doub, Berwyn, Ill.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal. The Rev. Chester J. Osowski, Pastor of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, officiated. Pallbearers were Joe Zupanc, Sr., Casper Shober, Joe Zupanc, Jr., Robert Gregorich, Scott Zupanc and Tom Zupanc. Burial was made in the Holy Family Cemetery in Willard.
