Lauer, Bernard J. (31 Jan 1910 – 24 Aug 1973)

Bernard J. Lauer, 63, Stevens Point, died Friday morning at St. Michael’s Hospital, Stevens Point.

He was born January 31, 1910, in Stanley, and grew up in the Stanley area. On June 14, 1932 he married Cecelia Ryba in Boyd. They farmed in the Stanley area, then they moved to Eau Claire.

In 1956 they moved to Stevens Point, where Mr. Lauer operated the A and B roofing Company until 1964, when he retired due to ill health. He had lived in Stevens Point since.

Surviving are his wife; a brother, Andrew, Anniston, Alabama; and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Artmann, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Louis Malinowski, Thorp.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Stanley, with the Reverend Joseph Marx officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Stanley.
