A farewell party will be held Sunday, January 13, 1974 in St. Bernard’s Church basement following the 11:30 a.m. Mass for Father Brockman, who is retiring.

A brunch will be served in potluck fashion, so bring a dish to pass. Coffee, ulk, rols, dishes and silverware will be provided.

Everybody is welcome.

A farewell brunch and reception were held at St. Bernard’s parish her Sunday for the Rev. Francis J. Brockman, pastor of St. Bernard’s for the past 12 years, whose priestly career also included service in Marshfield and Abbotsford.

Father Brockman will be retiring from the active ministry on January 15, 1973, and after a brief holiday in Phoenix, Arizona, he expects to return to live in or near Thorp.

Father Brockman is a native of Wisconsin Rapids and was ordained to the priesthood in 1936.
