Mrs. Bernard (Mary) Zuraff, 69, former Thorp resident, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield Sunday morning, January 27, 1974.

Her body lied in state at Rembs Funeral Home at Marshfield, and funeral services were held at 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield.

Zuraff, Mary (15 Aug 1904 – 27 Jan 1974)

Mrs. Bernard (Mary) Zuraff passed away in the emergency room of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Sunday, morning, January 27, 1974, at the age of 69.

The Rev. George C. Passehl conducted the funeral services at St. John’s Catholic Church at Marshfield on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Burial was made in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.

Visitations were made at Rembs Funeral Chapel. St. John’s Rosary-Altar Society services were held at 3 p.m., followed by St. John’s Parish Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The former Mary B. Keller was born August 15, 1904 in Thorp, and as a young lady moved to Milwaukee, where she lived until returning to Thorp in 1947. She moved to Marshfield in 1971.

Her marriage to Bernard Zuraff took place May 11, 1926 in Milwaukee.

Survivors include her husband; a son, William Zuraff, Marshfield; two brothers, Henry Keller, Greenwood, and William Keller, Stanley; a sister, Mrs. Albert (Ann) Ayen, Cross Plains, Wis., and two grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were a son, Bernard Jr., and five brothers, Frank, John, Matthew, Anthony and Joseph; one sister, Mrs. Albert (Elizabeth) Wink.

Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, John Orzechowski, Frank Hodorowski, Harry Hodorowski, Stanley Welciek, Albert Wink and Lawrence Wink.
