Menjivar, Denis (16 March 2004 – 13 November 2021)

Denis Menjivar, age 17, of Abbotsford, passed away in the Emergency Room of the Marshfield Medical Center on Saturday, November 13, 2021.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Tim Oudenhoven will officiate. The visitation is from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the mass at the church.

Denis was born on March 16, 2004, in Van Nuys, CA the son of Denis Menjivar and Francisca Chavez. He was a senior at Abbotsford High School. He was a funny, happy and fun-loving guy.

Denis is survived by his parents: Denis and Francisca (Chavez) Menjivar of Abbotsford, brother: Daniel Menjivar and twin brother: Jair Menjivar both of Abbotsford, maternal grandparents: Guadalupe Lopez and Efrain Chavez and paternal grandpa: Balmore Menjivar.

God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you
And whispered, "Come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you
As you slowly slipped away
And though we loved you dearly
We couldn't make you stay.

Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
