Schwanebeck, Doris J. (31 January 1917 – 4 April 1980)

Funeral services were held Tuesday early afternoon, April 8, for Mrs. Glenn (Doris J.) Schwanebeck, 63, who passed away in Neillsville Memorial Hospital on April 4. Mrs. Schwanebeck was the camp-tender in Sherwood Park since its opening.

The deceased was born on January 31, 1917, in Randolph to J.L. and Isabelle Bradley. After receiving her education, she married Glenn L. Schwanebeck in October 18, 1940, Randolph ceremonies. The couple moved to the Town of Sherwood and farmed their ever since. Mrs. Schwanebeck was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, its Ladies’ Aid and the Sherwood Birthday Club.

Surviving her besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Benny (Jan) Heck of Greenwood and Mrs. Raymond (Sharon) Wetzel of Neillsville; two brothers, Curtis and Edgar Bradley, both of Randolph and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Luella Livingston.

The Rev. E.J. Keller officiated at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Town of Sherwood) services. Burial was made in the Town of Sherwood Cemetery.

Schwanebeck, Doris (31 January 1917 – 4 April 1980)

Funeral services were held on the early afternoon of April 8, for Mrs. Glenn (Doris J.) Schwanebeck, 63, who passed away, April 4. The Rev. E. J. Keller officiated at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sherwood with burial made in the Town of Sherwood Cemetery.

“How Great Thou Art” and “The Lord Is MY Shepherd” were the musical selections offered by vocalist Caroline Helm and organist Corrine Friedrickson. Serving as pallbearers were Wayne Fluegel, Philip and Lowell Freedlund and Steve, Kenneth and Dennis Schwanebeck.

Attending from out of town were a number of residents of Randolph. They were Mr./Mrs. Edgar Bradley & Brian, Mr./Mrs. Curtis Bradley, Russell Bradley, Myron Livingston, Mr./Mrs. John Borie, Mr./Mrs. Aubrey Douma, Marsha Buchda, Mr./Mrs. John Buchda, Mr./Mrs. William Bradley, Barbara Braaksma and Mr./Mrs. James Koopman. Patrick Bentzler and Joyce Ziebart, of Milwaukee; Mr./Mrs. Richard Wilhorn, Nekoosa; Hazel Roberts, Larry Livingston and Martha Braskamp, of Beaver Dam; Royal Zunker and Mr./Mrs. Marvin Livingston, of Columbus and Robert Bradley, Fall River.
