On Wednesday, February 27, 1974, the Future Homemakers of America held a demonstration contest at Colby High School. The three schools that participated were Thorp, Medford and Colby.

Joanne Frinack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Frinack Jr. received an A on her demonstration in the Senior division, the other two other girls in this division received B’s.

The title of Joanne’s demonstration was “Shape Up and Enjoy Life.” She talked on the basics of a diet and presented certain exercises that would help reduce weight.
