McDermott, Doris Ann (30 Nov 1936 – 2 Oct 2021)

Doris Ann (Reichert) McDermott, age 84, entered into eternal peace on October 2, 2021 at her home in Whittier, CA. Doris was born on November 30, 1936 to Mildred (Caan) and Joseph Reichert in Stanley, Wisconsin, one of 10 children. Doris attended St. Bernard Catholic School, Thorp High School (Class of 1954) and the University of Wisconsin Madison.

Doris wed Richard McDermott on September 15, 1961. The loving couple would joyfully grow their own family, including a daughter, Keri, and three sons, Shawn, Chad, and Jay. She enjoyed bowling, reading, visiting with friends, doing crosswords, and was becoming an expert at Sudoku.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mildred; brothers: Melvin, Donald and William.

Doris is survived by her husband; four children; her grandchildren; ever-growing roster of great grandchildren; sisters:
Jeanette Baldizon, Marilyn, Marjorie (Jack) Dallas and Sister Lois; and brothers: Fr. James and Robert (Jaynne).
