Digoski, Bertha (4 June 1910 – 26 July 1980)

Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning, July 29, for Mrs. Walter Digoski, 70, from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. Mrs. Digoski of Rt. 4 Neillsville passed away Saturday afternoon in Neillsville Memorial Hospital.

Bertha Digoski was born on June 4, 1910, in the Town of Lynn to Louis and Bertha (Rocheleau) Hebert. She received her education in Eau Claire. On September 15, 1951, she married Walter Digoski in Bakerville ceremonies. The couple then moved to Neillsville. The deceased worked for many yeas as a beautician in both Neillsville and Granton.

Surviving her, besides her husband, is one son, Tim, Neillsville; four sisters Elva Markee, Loretta Schmoke of Auburndale; Julia Thomas of Berwyn, Ill.; and Mrs. Jack (Myrtle) Donegan of Pittsville; and one brother, John Hebert of Washington, D.C. She was preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.

The Rev. Joseph Henseler of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Neillsville officiated at the service. Burial was made in the Town of Lynn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were John Hammond, Perry Hebert, Richard Jonas, Roland Quicker, William Morley and Erv Foemmel.
