Williams, Hester Abbie (25 August 1931 – 9 January 2022)

Hester Williams, age 90, of Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Marshfield Health Services in Marshfield.

Hester Abbie Williams was born on August 25, 1931, in Thorp. She was the 11th child of Rollin H and Bessie M (Thompson) Williams. She was raised on the family farm in the town of Reseburg, attended Goff School until moving to White Creek, and graduating from Adams-Friendship High School in 1950. Hester moved to Colorado for a time and later worked at Sears Roebuck in Waukegan until 1958. In 1958, she entered into the ministry and continued to labor in Wisconsin, Colorado & Iowa until she was no longer able in 2005. She then came to be with family and friends in Wisconsin.

Hester loved to share the Bible story and had a great love for any babies both human and animal, especially baby lambs.

She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Hester leaves also behind many dear friends and co-workers.

Hester was preceded in death her parents; and her siblings: Alvin Williams, Eva Mae Williams, Dewey Williams, Emma Kippenhan, Roy Williams, Walter Williams, Della Williams, Mildred Briski, Nettie Berthold and Grace Bartlett.

The funeral will be January 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Medford Senior High School. Visitation will start at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen II Cemetery at Medford.

Jeff Thayer, Ronda Stidolph, Sandra Boettcher & Shari Stamps plan to speak at the service. Perry Pearson will have the graveside service.
