Raether, Clarence L. "Frosty"(1917-30 July 1983)

NEILLSVILLE -- Clarence L. "Frosty" Raether, 66, died July 30 in a Florida hospital.

He was born Neillsville and moved to Eau Claire as a child, remaining there until moving to Florida 13 years ago. He and Rosabelle Blaser were married October 21, 1939 in Eau Claire.

He was an independent building contractor in Eau Claire for 25 years before moving to Florida. He was a charter member of the Evening Kiwanis Club and past president of Haines City Kiwanis Club.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Gene of Phoenix, Arizona; his mother, Mrs. Ellen Raether of Eau Claire; four sisters, Mrs. Viva Gress of Neillsville, Mrs. Verna Saxe of Glendale, California, and Mrs. Velda Davey and Mrs. Eula Gingras, both of Eau Claire; a brother, Donald of Crystal, Minnesota; and two grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Saturday in Grace Lutheran Church Chapel, Eau Claire. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.

Fuller Funeral Home, Eau Claire, is in charge of arrangements.
