Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scidmore of Route 2, Holcombe, announce the engagement of their daughter, Julieann T. Scidmore of Marshfield, to David L. Smart of Stevens Point, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Smart of Route 1, Chenango Forks, N.Y.

Miss Scidmore is a 1970 graduate of Colby High School and of Lakeshore Technical Institute, Sheboygan, in 1971 as a medical assistant. She is employed by the Marsfhield Clinic.

Her fiancé graduated from Green High School at Greene, N.Y., in 1968, is a 1972 graduate of Cornell University at Ithaca, N.Y., where he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, and presently attended University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, working on an M.S. in natural resources, expected to finish in the spring of 1974.
