Koplitz, Anna (14 Aug 1893 – 27 Feb 1978)

Mrs. Anna Koplitz, age 84, of Withee, died at 10:08 a.m. Monday, February 27, 1978 at Memorial Hospital in Medford.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 2 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen, with Father Richard Fliss officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery near Withee.

Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1 at Maurina Funeral Home in Owen, and a Parish Rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.

The former Anna Lautges was born on August 13, 1893 at Fond du Lac, and moved to Anawa in 1907. She married Fred Koplitz on April 18, 1912 in Anawa. After the marriage they farmed in the town of Hixon, rural Withee until their retirement, when they moved to Owen.

Since 1969 Mrs. Koplitz has been making her home with her son and her daughter. Her husband died on May 10, 1960.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society.

She is survived by one son, Melvin Koplitz, and two daughters, Mrs. Fred Schindler of Curtiss and Mrs. Karl (Inase(?)) Dodder of Salem, Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Theresa) Muhs(?) of Birnamwood; two brothers, George, Lautges of Milwaukee and Clarence Lautges of Eland; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one sister, and three brothers.
