Ouimette, Charles (17 Dec 1897 – 31 Dec 1973)

Charles Ouimette, 76, Tomahawk, a former area resident, died Monday, December 31, 1973 at a Wausau hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 2, 1974 at The Krueger & Son Funeral Home in Tomahawk, with cremation in Oshkosh.

Mr. Ouimette was born December 17, 1897 in the town of Hoard. He was married to Beulah Zastrow on March 19,, 1938, in Minneapolis. A retired shoe salesman, he had lived in the Tomahawk area since 1930, was a World War I veteran of the Navy, and was a charter member of the Abbotsford Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, six sons, Charles of Chippewa Falls, James, Highland, California, Victor, Minocqua, George, Neillsville, Jean, White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and William, Brea, California; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Jones, Fargo, North Dakota; 28 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. David Johnson, Minneapolis, Mrs. Jane Cramer, Whittier, California, and Mrs. Nellie Bushey, Spooner.
