Marilyn Bauer has been chosen as the Colby High School DAR representative. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Bauer of Colby.

Public and private schools each year select a senior girl to represent them in state and national Daughter of the American Revolution good citizen contests. The selection is based on leadership qualities, dependability, service and patriotism. Savings bonds are given as awards at the state level and a $1,000 scholarship is given at the national level for fist place.
