Hubing, Duane P. (4 Jan 1944 – 27 Jun 2022)
Duane P. Hubing, 78, Loyal, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Abbotsford Health Care Center in Abbotsford. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Friday, July 1, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. Rev. Leo Johnson officiated, and burial followed in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Loos, Steve Kauth, Ryan Hauge, Tom Shafto, Paul Hubing, and John Hubing.

Duane Paul Hubing was born on Jan. 4, 1944, on his grandparent’s farm northeast of Loyal, to Joseph M. and Helen L. (nee Anderson) Hubing. He was raised and received his education in Loyal, graduating from Loyal High School in 1962. Duane then attended UW-River Falls and earned a degree in agriculture. He was a substitute teacher in Owen for a short time and then went to work hauling milk for Schlinsog Dairy. In 1969, after his Uncle Raymond died, he bought out his half of Hubing Brothers Farm and farmed with his father. Duane farmed until retiring in the fall of 2019. He had many interests, but especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling in his younger years, and listening to the Brewers and Packers. Duane was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

He is survived by four siblings: Carol Hubing and Joan Hubing, both of Neillsville, Jerry (Cathy) Hubing of Loyal, and Sharon (Marty) Briceland of Greenwood; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cuddiefh.com.  Cuddie Funeral Home of Loyal assisted the family with arrangements.
