Reamer, Richard L. (14 Mar 1947 – 29 Jun 2022)
Richard Lloyd Reamer, 75, Dorchester, passed away June 29, 2022, at home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Richard was born March 14, 1947, to Lloyd and Lois (Henning) Reamer in Columbus. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1965. After school, he worked for Columbus Milk Producers in Astico. In 1968, he went to work for FS Services in Fall River.

Richard married Donna Purves on April 20, 1968, in Columbus. In 1976, the family moved to Spencer, Iowa, where Richard managed the feed mill for C-D Farm Services, a branch for FS Services.

In 1980, they moved to Dorchester, where they bought a dairy farm. In the mid 90’s he started a trucking business hauling sawdust for bedding for local farms. He continued trucking after selling the farm until his health issues.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna, Dorchester; children: Jason (Stacey) Reamer, Stetsonville, Brian (Roberta) Reamer, Stratford and Rebecca (Jeremy) Schmelzer, Colby; grandchildren: Carla Schmelzer, Harley Schmelzer and Tripp Reamer; step-grandchildren: Ryan Gehrke, Cassandra Ellner, Tessa Brandner and Dillon Brandner, and sister-in-law, Sidnee Reamer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis.

A Celebration of Life will be held at his home, 101079 Country Road A, Dorchester, WI, on July 23, 2022; from 1-4 p.m. Come join us and bring a memory.
