Palmer, Fred G. (12 August 1898 – 11 December 1981)

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, December 14, for Fred G. Palmer, 83, from the Gesche Funeral Home. Mr. Palmer, Rt. 1 Neillsville, was pronounced dead on arrival at Neillsville Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 11. Prior to burial in the Neillsville City Cemetery, Masonic services were held with Wayne Grap of Neillsville officiating.

The deceased was born on August 12, 1898, in Neillsville, to Eilert and Louise (Knape) Palmer. He received his education in Neillsville area schools. On September 10, 1919, he married Ellen Galster in Alma Center ceremonies. The couple then moved to Chicago, residing in that city for 30 years. During that time, he was employed as a policeman and with a funeral home. The couple returned to Neillsville where he farmed and had various jobs.

Surviving him are several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Ellen, on September 15, 1974; two brothers, Lars and Carl; and three sisters, Anna, Irene and Mattie.

Palmer, Fred G. (12 August 1898 – 11 December 1981)

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, December 15, from the Gesche Funeral Home for Fred. G. Palmer, 83, who passed away on December 11. Wayne Grap, Neillsville, officiated at the Masonic service.

Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery, with pallbearers being James Musil, Lyle Miller, Milo Mabie, Walter Hahn, Leland Buddenhagen, Earl Bruhn and Wayne Grap.

Attending service from out of town were Clifford and Marianne Nielsen, Venice, Florida; Muriel Bauman, Hibbing, Minnesota; Forest Gault, Ruth Ingersoll and LaVere Garrity, of Sullivan; Del Bryan, Douglas, Wyoming; and Joyce Eberhardt and Viola Larson, both of Beloit.
