Beisner, Dennis A. “Denny” (8 July 1947 – 6 September 2022) With Flag

Dennis “Denny” A. Beisner, age 75, of Colby, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center.

Dennis was born on July 8, 1947, the son of Albert and Leona (Bartz) Beisner in Marshfield. He graduated from Colby High School in 1965. Dennis enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Viet Nam conflict from 1966-70. On July 21, 1973, he was united in marriage to Jean Broeske in Dorchester.

Dennis worked as a licensed cheesemaker for 32 years at AMPI and Foremost. He was a member of the Colby VFW Post #2227 and lifetime member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling, making sauerkraut and maple syrup and spending time at the cabin. He also enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers and was an avid reader. Dennis loved to spend time with his family especially teaching his grandchildren different skills. He will be dearly missed.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jean; three daughters: Denise (Kenneth) Webster of Jump River, Sherri (William) Kriegel of Merrill and Andrea (Nikolas) Wilson of Bruce; five grandchildren: Zach and Nicholas Kriegel, McKenzie, Kelsey and Lauren Wilson; a brother, Doug (Doris) Beisner of Wausau; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Lynette and a brother, Galen.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester. The Rev. Shawn Andersen will officiate. Interment to follow at the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Colby VFW Post #2227. Family and friends are welcome from 12:00 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the church. Live stream will be available for those unable to attend on the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home Facebook page or after the service anytime on Facebook or the website.
