Dunlap, Mildred Louise (8 February 1926 – 15 September 2022)

Mildred Dunlap, age 96, of Abbotsford, died Thursday, September 15, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.

Mildred Louise Myers was born on February 8, 1926, in Lucas County, Iowa the daughter of Otto and Leola (Nine) Myers. She attended Nancy L. Hill Public School in Aurora, IL. On May 12, 1945, she was united in marriage to James Dunlap in Aurora, IL. Mildred worked at various dress factories in Aurora, IL and Kurt Marg’s in Neillsville. Mildred was a “Jack of all trades”. She could fix just about anything. She enjoyed painting, crafting, and quilting. She even made a quilt for most of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Dennis) Gall of Grafton, a son, Barry (Karen) Dunlap of Dorchester, 15 grandchildren, Julie (Scott) Unertl, Scott (Kelly) Dunlap, Jason (Angela) Dunlap, Jenifer (Richard) Rowley, Krysta Gall, Danielle (Jason) Reysen, Adam (Julie) Deibert, Heather (Greg) Freimark, Todd Dunlap, Marcie Umbs, Chris Dunlap, Andy Dunlap, Jeremy Dunlap, Ashley (Dustin) Kuehmichel and Dustin (Brett) Dunlap, 26 great grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, Patricia Dunlap of Greenwood, and Kathy Dunlap of Marshfield, a son-in-law, Bruce Deibert of Princeton, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Myers of Montgomery, IL

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James, a daughter, Debra Deibert, two sons, Raymond Dunlap and James L. Dunlap, sisters, Laverna Snyder, Joy Hall and Evelyn Wright and brothers, Otto Myers Jr., and Robert Myers.

A Funeral Service for Mildred will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Terry Marg will officiate. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 24 at the Gesche Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Todd Dunlap, Scott Dunlap, Jason Dunlap, Adam Deibert, Chris Dunlap, Andy Dunlap, Jeremy Dunlap and Dustin Dunlap.
