NHS Students Attend Ag Technics Contest (3rd Place - 1982)
Among the 675 contestants in the 20th annual Ag Technics Contest at UW-River
Falls on March 20 were a number of students from Neillsville High School, which
took an over-all third place. Participating were Brad Marty, individual winner
in ag mechanics: Professor Russell Gerber of UW-River Falls, and Dave Grottke,
who joined Brad in team competition for ag mechanics. They were joined by Jim
Schmitt, first in agronomy; Kevin Anason, who with Jim took the team
competition: Michael Chicos, UW-River Falls student coordinator of agronomy: and
Professor Ken Barnett. Completing the group were Ken Schmitt, first in farm
machinery: Gary Bohn: Chuck Statz, who with Ken took the team event; and Bev
Brellwitz, UW-River Falls student who worked on the contest.
