On Saturday, February 1, 1975 the second annual Indianhead honor band clinic and
festival was held on the campus of the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. The
honor band was made up of top instrumental students from the high schools of
northwest Wisconsin and is directed by Dr. Donald George of the university
staff.
Members of the band from Abbotsford High School were Jill Schilling, flute, and
Julie Bergh, contra bass clarinet.
Jill, a senior, and Julie, a junior, were accompanied by Martin Schultz,
Abbotsford Band Director. They spent the day in rehearsal and clinics, followed
by an evening public concert by both the Indianhead honors band and the
university symphony band, under the direction of Dr. George.
