Fourteen students from the Business Department at Colby High School entered the
“Superbowl of Business Skills” contest at North Central Technical Institute in
Wausau on March 6, 1975.
More than 250 students from 25 area high school competed in the areas of
beginning and advanced typewriting, beginning and advanced shorthand,
bookkeeping, business math and business spelling. Trophies were given to the top
five place.
Students from Colby High School that placed were Melinda Kaiser, third in
advanced shorthand, Val Fischer, third in business math, and Nancy Tauchen,
fourth in bookkeeping.
