St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby was the scene Saturday, August 16, 1975 of the
marriage of Carol Jean Marie Schuh and William James Kadonsky.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Schuh, Route 2, Colby, and Mr.
and Mrs. George Kadonsky, Route 1, Abbotsford.
Father Francis Rushman performed the 1:30 p.m. wedding rites. Mary Beth Lang,
soloist and guitarist, was accompanied by Cheryl Schulz, organist.
The gown of white dull lustre bridal satin over sata peau featured an empire
waist with polyester eyelet sleeves and yoke was born by the bride. The standup
collard, long cuffs and partial double ruffled hem with a detachable train was
accented with pearls and daisy lace. Her elbow length imported English veil was
attached to a Juliet headpiece. She carried yellow roses, blue carnations,
stephanotis and baby’s breath.
Maids of honor Maid of honor were Bobbie Ann Schuh and Laurie Schuh, sister of
the bride. Shirley Hein, Stratford, Sue Viergutz, Colby and Carol Stoiber,
Dorchester, friend of the bride, were bridal attendants.
Their blue, purple, green, orange and yellow sata Peau princess styled gowns
worn respectively, featured a sweetheart neckline, short gathered sleeves and a
ruffled hem. They carried nosegays of white daisies and matching carnations.
Ivan Lukowski, Rhinelander, a friend of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen
were Bill Meyer, Colby, Dean Ziemke, Madison, Steve Kadonsky and Duane Schuh,
Colby.
Miniature bride was Lisa Bloom, West Bend, cousin of the bride, and Dennis Scuh,
brother of the bride, was ring bearer.
Supper was served to guests at St. Mary’s gym, with a reception and dance
following at The Sword.
The bride graduated in 1973 from Colby High School and the North Central
Technical Institute in 1975. The bridegroom also a graduate of Colby High School
in 1973, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin,
Madison in 1975.
Mr. and Mrs. Kadonsky are residing in West Bend.
