Heppner, Florenteen C. (3 Jul 1894 – 28 Dec 1975)
Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford
for Mrs. Florenteen Catherine Heppner, age 81, of Abbotsford.
Father Emil Hodnik officiated at the 10:30 a.m. service, with burial at St.
Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Colby.
Mrs. Heppner died December 28, 1975 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
The former Florenteen Clayton was born July 3, 1894 in Highland Park, Illinois,
and received her education in the Highland Park and Chicago area.
She was married December 24, 1938 to Robert Heppner, in Chicago. Mr. Heppner
died January 12, 1954.
Before moving to Abbotsford in 1952 she and her husband farmed in the Town of
Frankfort.
Survivors include five step-daughters, Mrs. Malcolm (Stella) Lamont, Abbotsford,
Mrs. Charlotte Borchardt, Edgar, Mrs. Robert (Bernice) Hamilton, Abbotsford,
Mrs. Alphonse (Katherine) Schraufnagel, Colby, and Mrs. Donald (Marie)
Halverson, Wilmington, Delaware; one step-son, Robert C. Heppner, Chippewa
Falls; 20 step-grandchildren and 34 step-great-granchildren.
