Johnson/Lindeman Cemetery

The cemetery really should be known as the Lindeman Cemetery, since only Lindemans are buried there.

 

One of the daughters from the "second family", Anna, married John Johnson. (They were my father's parents.) John and Anna Johnson took over operation of the farm in 1915. My parents (Ernest and Helen Johnson) farmed there from 1939 until their retirement in 1973. Thus, anyone in the Dorchester area knows (knew) it as the Johnson farm (and therefore, the "Johnson" cemetery). The two surviving Lindeman sons from the second family lived outside of Wisconsin. Of all those children, there was no one who carried on the Lindeman name.
