Babcock, Julia (1874? – 29 JUL 1904)

Died, Mrs. Hance Babcock at her home near Centrailia, Wash, on July 29, 1904, at the age of thirty years, of blood poison caused from an operation performed on July 24.

Deceased, whose maiden name was Julia Rack, was born on a farm near Arcadia, Trempealeau County, Wis., she came to Neillsville, Clark County to live and was married to Hance Babcock eleven years ago. They moved from Levis, Wis., to Centrailia, Wash. three years ago, where they resided at the time of Mrs. Babcock’s death. Besides her husband she leaves a family of six children, three boys and three girls to mourn her loss. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon July 31, 1904 at the school house, where there was a large gathering of people who came to pay their last respects to their friend and neighbor. Rev. M.F. Wood preached the funeral sermon.
