Surnames: VAN-NOSTRAND SONTAG POATE WALK Source: CLARK COUNTY REPUBLICAN & PRESS (Neillsville, Wis.) 06/01/1905 Van Nostrand, Emma (Marriage – 31 MAY 1905) Miss Emma Van Nostrand of this city (Neillsville, Clark County) and Mr. William D. Sontag of Altoona, Wis., were married last evening at nine o’clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Poate, by Rev. Guy Campbell. Miss Julia Van Nostrand of Milwaukee, sister of the bride, was Maid of Honor, and Mrs. Rudolph Walk of Abbotsford was best man. Dainty refreshments were served, after which Mr. and Mrs. Sontag left amid showers of rice, shoes, etc., on the midnight train for Chicago, and from there they will extend their trip to Eastern points, making a two week visit to New York City. The bride is well known here and has many friends. The groom formerly lived here and is well and favorably known. He is a conductor in the employ of the Omaha R.R. They expect to reside in Altoona. |
