Source: Unattribueted newspaper clippings in Feutz family records Feutz, Christian - (13 May 1885 - 2 Jan 1967) SURNAMES: FEUTZ, GALBREATH, LEWIS, SCHROEDER, RYSER, KINDISHI, ABBUHL, HIGGINS, LINDERMAN, IMRIE, ZDUN, KOEHLER, SCOTT, HUTH, BUDDINGER, WILLIAMS, PLUMMER, LINCOLN, KAPFER Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock from the United Church in Neillsville for Christian Feutz, 81, Granton, who died Monday. The Rev. W. C. Koehler will officiate and burial will be made in the Neillsville cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Georgas funeral home. Mr. Feutz was born May 13, 1885, in Switzerland and came to the United States at the age of 25. He located in southern Wisconsin, where he made cheese for 11 years. He then came to Clark County and operated a factory which he built on his arrival here. Following the sale of his factory he purchased a farm southeast of Neillsville, which has been his home since. In 1958 he retired from farming, but continued to live on the farm. On October 1, 1913, he was married to the former Ethel Galbreath in Cannonville. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Lynn of Wisconsin Rapids, Roy of Lander, Wyo., and Donald, at home; a brother, William, of Randolph; and seven grandchildren. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the United Church of Christ in Neillsville for Christian Feutz, 81, of Rt. 2, Granton, who died January 2. The Rev. W. C. Koehler officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville cemetery. "Near to the Heart of God" and "Nearer Still Nearer" were sung by Mrs. W. C. Koehler, accompanied by Dorothy Scott. Pallbearers were: William Buddinger, Jr., Arnold Huth, Oliver Williams, Barney Plummer, Warren Lincoln and Elmer Kapfer. People from away attending the funeral included: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Feutz, Mary Feutz and Roy Jr. of Lander, Wyo; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Feutz and Ronnie, and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Lewis of Wisconsin Rapids; Norman J. Schroeder of Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ryser of Fon du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. John Feutz of Ft. Atkinson; Mr. and Mrs. William Feutz of Randolph; Madeline Kindschi of DeForest; Mrs. Jacob Abbuhl of Columbus; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Higgins of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. P. H. Linderman of Watertown; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Imrie of Johnson Creek; Fred Feutz of Plymouth, and Casimir Zdun of Prosper, Minn.
