Bahr, Ferdinand (APR 1856 – 3 DEC 1910)

Word was received her Sunday that Ferdinand Bahr had died very suddenly the night before at his home in Spring Valley, Wis. He had been about his usual business all day, apparently in usual health, and while reading in his chair died without a struggle.

Mr. Bahr formerly lived on the Globe, Clark County road in Weston, where he carried on a fine farm, and also was in the timber business. About sixteen years ago he went to Spring Valley, and there developed a large business and was a large owner of timber land. He took an active part in the development of his home town and was considered a leading man in his community. He was a prominent Free Mason and his funeral, which took place Tuesday, was largely attended, not only by his fellow townsmen, but by men of the Masonic fraternity from different parts of the state. He was a man that was well liked and highly respected by all who knew him. At the time of his death he was fifty-four years and eight months old. He leaves a wife and eight children, several of whom are grown up and married.
