William (1836? – 11 JUN 1913) The editor is in receipt of a clipping from “The Living Church”, giving an account of the death and funeral services of Rev. Dr. Dafter. Dr. Dafter, who held the parish at Marshfield for a number of years and came here (Neillsville, Clark County) to hold services in the Episcopal Church, died at his home in Marinette, June 11, 1913, aged 77 years. The funeral was conducted by Bishop Weller, a number of diocesan clergy participating. Burial took place in Watertown. Many people in Neillsville retain pleasant memories of the deceased and sincerely mourn his death. |
