Flagg, Gladys E. (18 JUN 1919)

Miss Gladys E. Flagg of this village (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.), and Mr. James M. Stafford of Lawrence, Mich., were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. J. B. Braddock. The ceremony was performed at six o'clock Wednesday evening, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Flagg, in the presence of the family. The bride was prettily attired in a wedding gown of white silk crepe de chine and carried a corsage bouquet of white roses. The groom wore a suit of gray. A wedding supper followed the ceremony, the table being decorated with pink and white roses. Mr. and Mrs. Stafford departed on the evening train for Chicago, where they spent a day with an aunt of the bride, and then go to Decatur, Mich., to make their home on the groom's farm. The charming young bride, during her two years' residence here has won her way into the hearts of the young people. She is a graduate of Lansing, Mich. Normal and for the past two years has taught in the school here. The groom is also a college graduate, having recently completed the course of the Michigan Agricultural College. He is a young man of pleasing appearance, an acquaintance of the family since boyhood, and no doubt worthy of the bride he has won. Happily the newly wedded pair will reside within five miles of the bride's older sister, who was herself, a bride two years ago. Many beautiful gifts were bestowed upon the bride on this happy occasion, and she goes to her new home with the best wishes of a host of friends.
