Obit: Cram, Orin (1853 - 1922)
Surnames: CRAM STAGG LABONTI Source: HUMBIRD ENTERPRISE (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.) 10/07/1922 Cram, Orin (16 JUL 1853 - 2 OCT 1922) Orin Cram died suddenly on his farm near Augusta last Monday night soon after retiring. He had been in his usual good health apparently throughout the day, and worked in his fields until about five o'clock, when he complained of a pain in his face. Later in the evening the pain was manifest around the region of the heart. He retired early, and evidently soon lost consciousness. His wife noticed his labored breathing and tried to arouse him, but he passed away without awakening. The remains were brought to this village Monday noon and taken to the Free Methodist Church, where the funeral services were held, conducted by Rev. D. C. Elmer. Burial was in Mentor Cemetery. Deceased was born July 16, 1853, in St. Lawrence, N.Y., where he resided until the year 1892, when he came to Wisconsin, settling in Jackson Co., near Merrillan. There he lived for several years, when he moved into this vicinity (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.). Last April he went onto the farm near Augusta, where he died Oct. 2nd, 1922, at the age of 62 years, 2 months and 15 days. Mr. Cram was united in marriage Feb. 17, 1893, with Miss Ruby Stagg of Merrillan. To them were born seven children, two of whom, Mabel and Gertrude, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife and five children, Myrtle and Ervin of Neillsville, Mrs. Elsie LaBonti of St. Paul, Ernest and Grace at home, and one brother living at Gates, Wash. |
