Smith - Potvin

Miss Ida Smith, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Smith, and Dennis Potvin, of St. Paul, were united in marriage at Neillsville, by Rev. N. J. Dechant, Saturday afternoon, May 3rd, at two o'clock, in the presence of the bride's parents.

The bride wore a light aqua blue suit, with a pink rosebud corsage, and a blue and white hat. Her bridesmaid, Mrs. Victor Bloom, sister of the groom, wore a gray suit with a pink rosebud corsage. The groom was attended by Everett Smith, brother of the bride. They bride's mother wore a light gray dress with a corsage of white rosebuds.

An afternoon reception, with a six o'clock dinner was given by the bride's parents at their home to fifty guests. The bride's table, decorated in pink and white, was set with dishes which were wedding gifts of her grandparents, the late Mr. and Mrs. George Staves. A tall three tier wedding cake, trimmed with white rosebuds, was made by the bride's aunt, Mrs. William Staves.

Those from out-of-town attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith, of River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Potvin, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Potvin, and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bloom, of Minneapolis.

The bride received many lovely gifts. A shower in her honor was given by friends Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Potvin will reside in St. Paul, where he is employed.
