Surnames: ELGER CUMMINGS Source: HUMBIRD ENTERPRISE (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.) 07/26/1924 Elger, Martha (19 JUL 1924) Miss Martha Elger, one of Humbird, Clark County, Wisconsin's talented young ladies, became the bride of Mr. Tracy Cummings of Chetek, at a quiet home wedding, celebrated on Saturday evening, July 19, 1924, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Elger. Rev. C. F. Klein officiated. Home decorations were of pink for this happy event; the bride wore a pretty gown of pink georgette, and was attended by her sister, Miss Minola. Paul Elger, brother of the bride, was best man. After a wedding lunch the newlyweds left for Chetek, where they will spend their honeymoon. The groom is a recent graduate of the Eau Claire State Normal School, and ahs been elected principal of the high school at Gresham for the coming year, in which village they will be at home after Sept. 1st. The many young friends of the bride here, and also in the district where she has been a successful teacher during the past two years, join in extending the usual best wishes and congratulations. |
