Mueller commemorated their golden wedding anniversary by a family reunion at their home on Sunday, July 20th, 1924. That it was a happy time for all concerned is an assured fact. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Mueller and family, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. John Guitzkow, Louis Mueller, Prairie du Sac; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ott, Logansville; Mr.a nd Mrs. William Mueller and son, Fairchild; Mr. and Mrs. George Mueller and daughter Edna, Humbird; Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Blum, Eau Claire. Mr. and Mrs. Mueller were married in Sauk Co., Wis. fifty years ago, July 23, 1874. Their first home was in that vicinity, where they remained for thirty-one years. Nineteen years ago they retired from active farming and moved to Humbird, living for a number of years in the residence owned by Chas. Buchholz. Both are natives of Germany, coming from adjoining provinces, in their early years and settled in Sauk Co., where they grew to manhood and womanhood. Both are enjoying good health in their sunset years, and are happy with a highly respected family of sons and daughters, who gathered with their families to observe this joyous anniversary. Mr. Mueller is nearing his 76th milestone and Mrs. Mueller is five years his junior. The community joins in their happiness. |
