A small but lovely wedding took place Wednesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Murphy, when Miss Bessie Tucker of Greenwood, Clark County, Wis., became the bride of Harold Blancher of Tacoma. The ceremony was performed before relatives and close friends, Rev. T. H. Meyer.

The house was beautiful in pin and white flowers with tall candles, giving a quaintly charming touch through the rooms. Before the nuptial ceremony Howard Blancher, a brother of the bridegroom, with Floyd Murphy at the piano, played a bridal song arranged for violin, followed by "I Love You Truly." As the melody of Mendelssohn's wedding march filled the room with soft music, the bride entered unattended. She was lovely in her wedding gown of white lace and net over white satin and carried a shower bouquet of Cecil Bruner roses and white chrysanthemums.

The nuptial vows were spoken before a floral altar of greenery and flowers defined with cathedral candies at each side. Mrs. George Woodbridge arranged the decorations.

An informal reception was held after the benediction, Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Blancher receiving the congratulations with the young couple.

The dining room for the bridal collation was attractive in decorations of pink and white. The bride's table had a cloth of lace and the flowers were pink chrysanthemums in a deep crystal bowl. Candles of the same color in tall crystal sticks competed the appointment.

Mrs. F. B. Blancher poured and Mrs. T. H. Martin cut the wedding cake, Mrs. E. D. Murphy cut the ices. They were assisted in serving by Mrs. Fred Schwah, Miss Alysse Russell and Miss Winifred Blancher.

The young couple left in the late evening for a short honeymoon trip, its destination being kept a secret. The bride wore, for going away, a smart traveling dress of navy blue duvetyn with coat of matching color finished handsomely with a collar of squirrel.

The bride is a graduate of the kindergarten division of Oshkosh Normal, and has been teaching in the public schools of the city a few months. The groom was graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee and also attended the University of Pennsylvania. He was overseas for 18 moths in war service, having charge of x-ray work in one of the larger hospitals.

The young couple will make their home in Tacoma, and will receive friends in their own new little bungalow on North 12th St. after Dec. 15th.
