Obit: Jones, Lovilla E. (1840 - 1922)
Surnames: Jones, White Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) Thursday, 08/17/1922 Jones, Lovilla E. (7 June 1840 - 2 Aug. 1922) Mrs. Lovilla E. Jones, widow of the late John B. Jones of 606 South 20th St. Newark, N. J., died at 5 p.m. August 2, 1922. Mrs. Jones, whose maiden name was Lovilla E. White was born in Marion, N. Y., on June 7, 1840. She was married to John B. Jones in 1864 and soon afterward moved to Neillsville, Wis., where she resided until 1899, when the family moved to New Jersey. Mrs. Jones active life was spent at Neillsville, at which place she belonged to the Woman’s Relief Corps and was the first Worthy Matron of Carmi Chapter No. 60, Order of Eastern Star. She held this position for two and one-half years. She is survived by one daughter, Vinnie I. Jones, Newark, N. J., and two sons, Thos. E. Jones of Detroit, Mich., and Earl Jones of Columbia, N. J., and two grandchildren.
